What to take home, and what a warranty really covers

Aftercare and warranties once you are home

The treatment ends at the clinic, but your teeth come home with you. Good aftercare and a clear warranty matter as much as the price.

Take these home

  • A written summary of what was done, tooth by tooth.
  • Copies of your X-rays and scans, before and after.
  • For implants: the implant card with brand, type and size. Any dentist will need it later.
  • The names of the materials and the lab that made your veneers or crowns.
  • The warranty in writing, and who to contact if something goes wrong.

Read the warranty closely

  • What it covers: the work itself, or also the cost of redoing it? Implants, crowns and veneers often have different terms.
  • Conditions: many warranties need regular check-ups and cleanings, sometimes with proof, and a night guard if you grind your teeth.
  • Travel: who pays flights and hotel if something has to be redone in Türkiye?
  • Remote help: will the clinic look at photos or X-rays from your dentist at home and advise?

Your dentist at home

See a local dentist for a check-up a few weeks after you return, and then regularly. Bring your records. Some dentists are reluctant to take responsibility for work done abroad, so it helps to find one before you travel and tell them your plan.

If something feels wrong

  1. Contact the clinic first, with photos and a description, and keep the messages.
  2. Ask your local dentist for an opinion and a written note if needed.
  3. Agree in writing how the problem will be fixed and who pays what.
Tip. On dental.holiday, every quote lists the warranty for each treatment. Compare them before you choose, not after.
